Welcome! My name is Anthony Dimitrion. I am a creative Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist. I specialize in providing evidence-based therapy services for children, teenagers, adults, and families. My therapeutic philosophy is founded on the belief that all clients are unique, and that treatment should be tailored for each client taking into consideration their presenting concerns, psychosocial history, personal preferences, and family dynamics.
I believe that therapy is most effective in a personable, easily approachable format that is respectful, creative, and collaborative. I practice from a neuro-relational and somatic lens, incorporating understandings of family systems and attachment theories, the mind-body relationship, and neurobiology. My passion lies in helping children, teens, and adults develop better self-awareness and sense of internal control through increased attunement to the mind and body.
As a Registered Play Therapist, I have specialized training in therapeutically working with children through creative, play-based interventions that are developmentally appropriate, fun, and relatable. I have trained in several approaches to play therapy that are attachment-focused and neurobiologically-oriented.
