Welcome! My name is Anthony Dimitrion. I am a creative Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist. I specialize in providing evidence-based therapy services for children, teenagers, adults, and families. My therapeutic philosophy is founded on the belief that all clients are unique, and that treatment should be tailored for each client taking into consideration their age, developmental history, presenting concerns, and family dynamics.
I practice from a relational and neurobiological lens, incorporating understandings of family systems and attachment theories, emotional regulation, and neurobiology. I believe that therapy is most effective in a personable, easily approachable format. My passion lies in helping children, teens, and adults develop better self-awareness through increased attunement between their thoughts, feelings, physiological (physical) sensations, and behaviors. This increase in self-awareness improves self-confidence and one’s ability to manage often difficult and overwhelming feelings.
As a Registered Play Therapist, I have specialized training in therapeutically working with children through creative, play-based interventions that are developmentally appropriate, fun, and relatable. I have trained in several approaches to play therapy that are attachment-focused and neurobiologically-oriented.
